Morecambe to Bridlington, Lancashire to Yorkshire this iconic long distance coast to coast route starts in Morecambe, then the historic City of Lancaster before heading through the Forest of Bowland and into the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst in the Dales you’ll visit Settle and Appletreewick (Wharfedale) before climbing Greenhow Hill, the highest point on the route before descending to Pateley Bridge (Nidderdale). From here you’ll head to Ripon via Fountains Abbey leaving the Dales behind for the gentler terrain on the way to the historic City of York.
